Car seats are one of the harder baby products to find in truly natural materials, so this organic cotton insert felt like a practical middle ground. It creates a soft cotton barrier between baby and the car seat’s synthetic fabric while still being an insert designed and approved specifically for compatible Nuna PIPA infant seats.

After looking at our options, the combination we landed on was a Nuna PIPA car seat paired with this organic cotton insert. It doesn’t make the entire car seat natural, of course, but it reduces how much of the standard seat fabric is directly against baby’s skin—and sometimes that kind of realistic improvement is the best available option.
